Valentino 2013 Fall ad Campaign

At last Valentino represented 2013 fall ad campaign that was so much awaited. Being inspired by Rembrandt and Johannes Vermeer this campaign turned to be very artistic and style critics called the most artistic one in the history of designer house. Models chosen for this campaign are Maud Welzen, Kati Nescher, Magdalena Jasek, Irina Kravchenko, Sam Rollinson, Erika Labanauskaite, Tamara Weijenberg, Laura Kampman, Nouk Torsing and Sasha Luss; our beauty bunnies are as artistic and beautiful as campaign and designs chosen for it.

Lensed by the most talented photographers Inez Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin at Pier 59 Studios this selection of photos is far from being just photos of designer collection. It is no surprise that this campaign was so much awaited. Artistry is noticed in every single detail from still-life setting to poses and models’ makeup.

Maria Grazia Chiuri commented about the campaign and models;

 “Women were represented like paintings, caught in the intimacy and magic of their gestures”.

Makeup artist and hair guru Dick Page and Christiaan managed to find the most flattering designs to complete models’ iconic images. Pale skin, pink blush, nude lips and natural eye makeup is combined with braided hairstyle.

What about Valentino pieces chosen for ad campaign? Again artistic allure is very strong here; colors and cuts are very delicate. Color palette includes mainly subtle tones like white, black, blue, burgundy and gray. Pieces are mostly monotone but there are several luxurious designs with floral prints that are simply irresistible. Besides of those luxurious dresses, coats and jackets Valentino 2013 fall ad campaign offers collection of bags complementing those artistic pieces.
